Where Mohiniyattam comes from — and where it lives now.
Lasya, slow and luminous. Graceful Kerala classical — cholkettu, jathiswaram, padam and varnam with traditional stagecraft.
Mohiniyattam — the 'dance of the enchantress' — is Kerala's graceful classical dance form, taking its name from Mohini, the enchanting avatar of Vishnu. It is characterised by soft, swaying lasya movements, subtle abhinaya, and simple white-and-gold costume that contrasts with the more elaborate Bharathanatyam attire.
